During his career, Dr. Steven E. Franklin has held academic and administrative appointments at the University of Saskatchewan, the University of Calgary, Memorial University, and the University of Waterloo. Just prior to taking office as Trent University's seventh President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Franklin was the Vice President of Research at the University of Saskatchewan (2003-2009), where he provided overall leadership in developing and promoting university research and scholarship. During his term as President of Trent University Dr. Franklin put in place the University's first Integrated Plan, launching key initiatives to strengthen Trent's academic excellence, strategic enrollment management, financial stability, and community engagement and much more.
