Trent University’s “50 in 50” initiative will encourage donations in direct support of students, including athletics, student services, and financial support for undergraduate, graduate and international students.
To help the University reach the ambitious goal of $50,000, all *first time donors who make a donation during the 50 hours of the campaign, from 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30 until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 2, will have their donation matched 2:1, by an anonymous donor, tripling the impact of their gift.
“It is fitting that, as an institution that is profoundly anchored in philanthropy and deeply indebted to the support of our community, Trent continues to celebrate our 50th anniversary with this special Giving Tuesday initiative,” said Julie Davis, vice president of External Relations and Advancement at Trent. “We hope that the community will join us in taking up this challenge to help support our students for another 50 years and beyond.”
The 50 hours of giving campaign will be supported through social media on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as through e-mail and telefundraising.
